Troubleshoot an interview without losing your work

Recover from permissions, missing audio, failed uploads, stalled cues, unsaved records and payment problems with a symptom-based checklist.

If an interview is active, pause before changing devices or sources. If the page says saving failed, keep it open. Refreshing, clearing browser data or reinstalling can remove the context you need to recover; use the relevant check below first.

Identify which permission is being requested. Website microphone access, the browser’s system permission and a fresh screen-source selection are different steps. Screen sharing requires a new source choice; that alone does not mean a previously saved microphone permission was lost.

In the browser settings, check the OfferWoo site entry rather than another site. In OS privacy settings, check the browser when using the web app, or OfferWoo when using the desktop app. If the OS requests a restart, finish or safely stop your current work before reopening the relevant application.

A managed work or school browser may restrict permissions. Chrome’s official guide explains this limitation. Ask the device administrator rather than repeatedly changing settings that are locked.

No cues, or a cue does not fit the question

Section titled “No cues, or a cue does not fit the question”
  1. Check whether the interview is started or paused. Preflight meters can move before transcription begins.
  2. Check which voice is arriving. If only your answers appear, repair the meeting source; if neither appears, follow the connection message.
  3. Check the latest question text for misheard terminology. A response to the wrong transcript can look plausible while being irrelevant.
  4. If personal details are wrong, inspect the selected role and files. Use the verified material preview to correct the source for a later interview.
  5. If the service cannot respond, continue from your own notes. Keep one active interview instead of opening several competing sessions.

Do not interpret a spinner as evidence that a request succeeded. Wait for actual output or a recovery message. No guide can promise a fixed response time under all network conditions.

For files, check format and size, then the extracted text. Try a plain text copy if the original is unreadable. Changing the extension without converting a file does not change its format.

For an ended interview, retry saving from the original page. Once it confirms saving, open history and check the record. A review failure is separate from transcript saving; you can retain notes even if the review cannot be generated.

If a form reports newer changes elsewhere, reopen the saved version and compare before resubmitting. Copy your unsaved notes privately if needed. A new login, tab or browser does not automatically recover text that was never saved.

Do not send a password, email code, API key, full card number or raw private transcript. Share only the information needed to diagnose the failure. For a paid order, keep working from the original order rather than paying again to test whether it works.
